Litter bins: Thurton PC supplied three litter bins on the A146 in Thurton. The bins are emptied by South Norfolk Council (SNC).
Dog Poop Bin: Thurton PC supplied a Dog waste bin at the junction of Church Loke/Loddon Road. The bin is emptied by SNC.
Salt Bins: Thurton Parish Council has supplied three salt bins. These are sited on Vale Road Thurton, A146/Ashby Road junction and Cookes Road Thurton. The salt/grit is supplied by Norfolk County Council
Notice Board: a Parish Council notice board is positioned at the A146/Ashby Road junction in front of the Old School building.
Bus Shelters: Two bus shelters have been supplied by Thurton PC one on each side of the A146 in Thurton.
Bottle Bank: a bottle bank is sited on The Street, Thurton opposite the George and Dragon Public House. Money received from this site is used to reduce the precept for the village.
Allotments: none are available.
Village Hall and Playing Field: Ashby & Thurton Playing Field and Village Hall is an independent charity (charity number 303890). The Village Hall Committee is made up of Charity Trustees. The Trustees include representatives from both Parish Councils.Thurton PC supports the Village Hall and Playing Field providing a £500 lets subsidy and £190 grass-cutting subsidy.
