Quality Status
Quality Status
In order to achieve Quality Status, Parish and Town Councils must demonstrate that they have reached the standard required by passing several tests. These are:-
- Electoral Mandate
- Qualifications of the clerk
- Council meetings
- Communication and Community Engagement
- Annual Report
- Accounts
- Code of Conduct
- Promoting local democracy and citizenship
- Terms and conditions
- Training
The portfolio of evidence which the council compiles is put before the County Accreditation Panel which meets quarterly to consider applications for Quality status. Meetings are scheduled for 2012 as follows: March 23rd; May 18th; September 14th and December 7th.
Please contact the BATPC office if your council would like advice and support in putting together a Quality council application.
